Born in Baltimore and raised in Bel Air, Cordy grew up in the small state of Maryland. Her time was occupied with different instruments, sports, and arts all through middle and high school. Playing Ice Hockey throughout her childhood, she was the Captain of her all male hockey team with aspirations to play professionally. After her third concussion ended her hopes, she traded in skates for a camera. She earned a Film Production degree at Florida State University's College of Motion Picture Arts.

Now based in LA and Bel Air, she is writes, develops, and directs projects that make space for and encourage strong women in male industries.
